The Background

So first the literal background is a picture of two turkeys I slowly smoked over apple wood and charcoal for Thanksgiving 2010. We had a lot of family over and were still able to send some to folks who could not make it.

The back story on my grilling is that it has been a hobby of mine for a few years. I like doing stuff that takes a long time on the grill. I think these things pay off with a better flavor that is different from those you produce inside.

Why a blog? Well I want a place where I can capture my procedures and the results so that I can reproduce the good ones and find where to improve the not so good ones.
